Time
Character: YR
She leaned against him as she usually did, her arms crossed, one leg bent, the other tucked beneath it and a scowl on her face. She was thinking about something, shifting against him and sinking lower against the all until she was practically flat on her back and her head uncomfortably wedged between his side and his arm.
"Something on your mind?" he asked, knowing full well she was going to say whatever she was thinking anyway. She gazed straightforward, her lips pursed and waited a moment before opening her mouth at all, just nearly ready to speak.
"... If life is killing time before we die, what does that mean for people like us?" She looked up at him, a blank stare that rarely found itself paired with the questions she would ask him at random. It was a genuine curiosity and he considered the question fro a few moments. He nudged her side slightly, silently asking her to sit up straight before planting a light kiss on her lips.
"It means we have more than enough time to kill doing whatever we actually want to do," he responded off-handedly. She tilted her head, grinning at him as if to say "you have got to be shitting me, you sap," but leaned in and kissed him anyway, the question more or less answered in her mind.
